As you may have heard, Wayland recently replaced X11 as the default Desktop GUI in RaspberryPiOS. This started with Debian 12 Bookworm, released on 2023-06-10.

Autoboot

This may affect your autoboot startup sripts. Be sure to update any configs that you may have.

Pi Zero 2 W with Wayland

Support was limited at first, especially for the Pi Zero 2 W. This brought simple kiosk displays to a crawl.

And VNC integration was definitely tricky. With major differences between the armv7 and arm64 versions.
